Hiya! What happened with the budgie in the end (we were the peeps who gave you the cage!)

Hiya Jane!

I have tried to message you several times. We called him Lemon,

The budgie was ‘claimed’ after a week with us, by a guy who phoned up… but wouldn’t give his details. And then told us to keep it. It had been fluttering around Forest Hill for 3 weeks he reckoned… from by fire station, escaped through open window. (He had called it Sari, Turkish for yellow)

My daughter was hysterical about giving the bird away to someone we couldn’t identify… who might be a budgie rustler!

Anyway, we found him a great home, with a school friend of daughter. She had 2 birds already, knew loads about caring for them properly, he’s doing really well!

I did message you and text, but I must have had wrong number…

We cleaned up the cage and passed it on to a charity shop in the end, when we didn’t hear back (you had said that’s what you were planning to do).
