As I Live and Breathe is a series of thought-provoking works by award-winning visual artist Claire Morgan exploring our relationship with nature, drawing on the theme of waste and the impact that humans have on their surroundings. A dramatic large scale installation suspended from the ceiling and descending over two floors will captivate visitors, composed of thousands of fragments of colourful waste polythene torn by hand from used shopping bags. Inside the Natural History Gallery, four taxidermy specimens of prolific residents of urban London – the grey squirrel, red fox, carrion crow and rose-ringed parakeet – feature fragments of torn bin bags protruding from their mouths.
