Part-Time Horticulture Tutor - Mindlift Department for Practical Allotment Gardening

What we’re looking for
Adult learning Lewisham is looking for a confident practical Horticulture Tutor who has experience working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues. This role will compromise of three morning classes at Deptford Reach and three afternoon classes at the Granville Park Centre on Tuesdays. This will be term time only with each term consisting of 11 weeks and each class has a duration of 2 hours.
Subjects to be delivered: soil types, crop rotation and compost making. Weeding, watering and identification of crops and weeds, propagation, planting, crop care and harvesting of crops.
Applicants must have experience working in an adult environment and has qualification to at least level 4 as well as having or be willing to work towards achieving a recognised teaching qualification (e.g.Cert Ed/PGCE). The successful applicant must be prepared to carry out all administrative tasks associated with the post including attendance at tutor meetings and CPD.
Salary details
£28.88 - £30.26 per hour
