The Big Issue

Hello fellow SE23er’s

This is the first time I’ve posted on this forum - but I had to post on here because I was really saddened to hear from our station Big Issue seller this morning that sales are really poor for him at the moment. Drier days during this season should be better for business for him too!

I’m probably guilty of not buying the Big issue as much as I’d like and will definitely take more time out for him. I know we’re a kind, supportive bunch of neighbours, so was just kindly going to ask that if you do have some spare change and pass him in the morning I know he would be very grateful for your support. I know we all have our busy lives and our often rushing for our trains but this small gesture will definitely make a difference.

I hope this doesn’t come across as a preach and patronising its just I know we’re very good at supporting local people!

Hope you all have a nice day.

Hi LJ,

You make a good point here and I am replying in order to draw other people’s attention to the sentiment.

If we want to help people who are struggling in our community, then buying a ‘big issue’ for £2.50 every now and then is a very good place to start.
