Downloading Posts

I have tried to download my posts. Fairly quickly I am provided with a file to download in a Gzip format. However, I seem unable to open the file, and the link provided for Gzip FAQs isn’t very helpful. Looking at the Gzip pages they don’t seem to be a little too tech focused for the technologically naive.

Any help? Or is there another format available like zip?

If you’re on Windows, try a tool called 7-zip.

If you’re on Mac or Linux you should be able to double-click the .tar.gz file to open it.
