Hustings for Lewisham West and Penge this week.
Election hustings

Yes please, so it would be good to have a genuine open hustings, rather than an event organized by an NGO prioritizing its own agenda.

The organisers say that it is for the general public and you are invited to submit and attend to ask open questions on any topic. Even I think 2 hrs quizzing local politicians on children’s rights and international development might be a bit much and I worked for Save the Children for many years!

It was a Save the Children event. Nothing wrong with that, but it isn’t a hustings.
Did anyone go, or am I straying into prohibited territory?

@DevonishForester, good question, I think there is some room for discussion on this topic but here’s a quick recap from the FAQ which sets out some boundaries:

I just pointed out that the meeting was taking place, nothing to do with me, but curious to know why this would not be considered a hustings?
