Over the last few New Years Eve’s I’ve enjoyed a meal at the Dartmouth Arms. However, this year I would like to try somewhere else, but staying in Forest Hill. Please can anyone suggest somewhere?

If you are counting Honor Oak as part of Forest Hill \ don’t mind the walk or quick bus trip, then Babur on Brockley Rise could be good. Definitely not the cheapest, but I’ve always found the food to be great in there, and I expect they will have a special menu. I’ve not been there on NYE but many other times.
Otherwise, I’ve not been, but everyone seems to like the newish Italian Tapas place on the other side of FH station - link Sfizio Tapas and SE23 Thread on Sfizio here
I’ve been to Babur on NYE followed by Blythe Hill Fields to watch the fireworks. Babur did a special menu I think, and it was a great night out with a good atmosphere.
