Help identifying a tree please

Hi all, I saw this tree in nunhead cemetery and there are some growing in nearby streets. Please let me know what this as I have no idea! Thank you!

I thought so too, because of what looked like candles. But I couldn’t really focus on the leaves, which in Al’s the photo on my phone screen I thought looked more lmaybe like sweet chestnut type. But then I found this photo online. So yes, I think you’re right - horse chestnut.
