Cherries

Hi. I’ve just seen that we have a tree in our local park that is absolutely groaning with fruit. I used the app on my phone and it tells me it’s a ‘wild cherry’ tree. Does this mean the fruit is edible? or would it be poisonous/dodgy to eat?

It’s a wild cherry. They’ll be edible but they may not be that sweet
