Inside the old Barclays Bank (with plans)

The Barclays Bank site, which closed in June 2018, is available for lease. The glossy brochure produced by mason owen gives a little glimpse inside, as well as plans of the secret vault basement.

Here’s the site from the outside, much as it is today:

The property is A2 class (financial and professional services, excluding betting offices or pay-day loan shops) and has an EPC rating of D99. Inside we get some pictures of the main banking area which looks to have been largely ripped out.

And here are the plans for the 112 m2 ground floor. Note the ‘air lock’ to gain access to the secure area, and the conveniently placed hoist to the basement:

Finally plans for the 84.5 m2 basement:

The tenure is held by way of a FRI lease expiring 2.7.28 with a tenants break in July 2023 at a passing rental of £35,000 pax. I don’t know what that means, but liked the pictures

Only hope it doesn’t become a betting shop or loan shop.
It could be a cool gallery space or equally good for yoga/pilates holistic treatments use.

Or a restaurant? I had this email today and although Firest Hill isn’t on the location list this could be a good location for a landmark restaurant - prominent corner site, near the station.
