I have quietly amassed a ton of plastic bags to eventually recycle, but all the local venues that the WRAP site recommends for recycling them don’t currently seem to be doing so.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Lewisham Foodbank at Malham Road are usually happy to take carrier bags.
Ocado have also started taking them back too (and they take any others, not just their own).
I managed to get rid of my mountain at sainsburys bell green - just inside the entrance.
Waitrose Beckenham too
To echo @ForestHull please please drop these off at the Lewisham Foodbank if you can. If anyone has a load hanging round the house that they don’t need, I am happy to pick them up and drop them off if you don’t have time or transport

Where in the store is this? Sainsbury’s delivery guy seemed to think the bag recycling had temporarily ceased (although that was a few weeks ago).

Every single delivery is at least 5 bags. I’ll get some stats for you. I think they mostly need to buy them because it’s normally generic grey bags I see. Barely any recycled bags.
It was behind the tills about halfway down the shop. It was there a few weeks ago so pretty sure you can still use it!
Wow - I had no idea. Even aside from the charitable nature of this re-use is so much better than recycle.
Lockdown 2.0 has meant more deliveries and more bags needed. Help recycle please! If you can’t spare the time let me know and I will pick up and drop off bags!
