Help reattaching botched job kitchen unit

I recently had a well known online supplier attend to fit an integrated washing machine and in the process they messed up my kitchen unit so much so that they were not able to re-attach it. Yesterday they offered me a ‘goodwill gesture’ £30 to shut me up but needless to say I refused. I am now having to go through the Claims team and they are obviously trying to make it as awkward as possible for me. Ideally I would want the door replaced but I don’t know that that is possible - the kitchen is quite old now.

Does anyone know of anybody that might be able to fix/re-attach he door - see photos for how mashed up it is. i am absolutely furious with them.

I’m so sorry to hear that! You definitely need more than £30. I know that a “magicman” who makes good charge at least £200 a day. I’m not sure this door would be able to be made good. Potentially an infill piece?

I’m not sure whether this thread may help you at all. The author may potentially have a door that may work?

That chunk they’ve taken out of the door - was it done because there’s a protruding handle on the new washing machine which was preventing the door from closing?

Possibly try and find the same/equivalent cabinet door and replace the whole thing.

Then ask the ‘well known online supplier’ for the cost of the replacement door and the £30 goodwill?

Good luck!

Thank you, @HillLife.

@AnotherJohn, I’m afraid not - it was in an attempt to simply hang the door but they could not get so far as to do this. This is damage caused by the drill-piece that they were using. My integrated washing is not now integrated because the door cannot be rehung. £30 is a ridiculous offer. If I didn’t want an integrated washing machine I wouldn’t have paid quite a lot extra to have one.

@ForestHull, I’ve left it that Its back to them to find a replacement door I’ve it was they that damaged it.
