Houses on Cranston and Hawkesfield roads

We’re looking at maybe buying on one of these roads but wondered what the sound proofing is like between houses? We’re currently in a 90s build and the noise transmission is dreadful. I think on these roads the properties are 30s built (?) but no idea if the sound proofing is any better!

Also interested to know about the impact of the road noise in Cranston if anyone has any intel?

I lived on Cranston for 20 years and the noise never bothered me. We were doubled glazed of course so road noise wasn’t an issue but I never really noticed my neighbours much either. Maybe I was the noisey one!

I would think that traffic is lighter on Hawkesfield Road than on Cranston Road.
