Featuring the Horniman, of course:
There are so many wonderful walks through South London. As a resident of Merton (but working in Honor Oak) my favourites are on the River Wandle. Merton Abbey Mills, Grove Park and Carshalton Park are wonderful and I’d highly recommend them. Just a short hop to Croydon then jump on tram/bus/train.
Back in August, my husband and I did the linear park walk from Beckenham Road tram stop to Deptford Reach and beyond. What a great walk and a very good lunch in Catford on the way.
This seems like a lot of walking down fairly uninteresting residential streets
I agree - the Waterlink Way is a chance to take in some peaceful and green spaces through south east London. can thoroughly recommend…
