If you take a stroll through Blythe Hill Fields (and not just for the amazing festival in July), you have have noticed that some parts need a little attention: we’re planning a two-hour session this Saturday 10th September. Local park-lovers are all very welcome to come along
We’ll remove some tree guards from trees that have outgrown them, and remove a few dead trees too. We’ll also do some pruning of growing trees and a bit of weeding from around small hedge whips which have weathered the weather and are thriving, we hope, to fill gaps in the perimeter hedge. We could also do a little litter-pick and have a good chat about the ecology of the park and ideas to enhance it.
All welcome, children too, bring your own gloves and secateurs or shears or similar. Meet at 11am at the playground! No need to book. Looking forward…
