Found ID card (Portuguese) [Resolved]

I found on the street a Portuguese citizen card (Cartão de Cidadao) belonging to a Rui Oliveira. If someone here happens to know the person, please pass on the message. I will keep the card for a week or so before handing it over to the police or the Portuguese consulate.

Might be better off name-checking the name on the card on Facebook to see if the card holder’s face matches any accounts on Facebook.

Yep, absolutely. No immediate leads from there, so far.

@mkane If you don’t get any response locally it might be worth contacting the Portuguese Consulate as that’s probably who he would have to contact to obtain a replacement ID card. Their contact details are:

In fact, the consulate replied very promptly, and based on their advice I sent the card to them today. Let’s hope that from there it reaches its owner! ID cards can be a bit complicated to replace outside of the issuing country.
