Hello
We have double glazing but some windows have trickle vents, and some older ones not. I’d like to make sure we have them for each window, but would rather not replace each window as that will cost a fortune.
Have anyone used someone locally to do this and can recommend them and / or give a guide to costs (please DM if you don’t want to post).

Not the same thing exactly but the window shop in crofton park replaced a few panes of double glazing that had failed seals, and some broken handles for us for a very good price, and very quickly. Would definitely reccomend giving them a call or popping in.
Whatever you do, don’t expect to dispose of any materials you don’t use at the local tip, and no matter how small this job seems to be, make sure you price in hiring a professional disposal team with full Haz-Chem gear and a special purpose built health and safety compliant truck to come and safely take away any residual bits and bobs even if those bits could fit into an empty crisp packet. You have been warned.
If you know who made/fitted them originally they can usually do it very easily…just a case of drilling or cutting a hole and then glueing on the vent either side. An hour’s work and no more than 60 quid for 3 I would say or DIY it

From Google they’re either master windows or MD Windows, looks like they have some pretty mixed reviews, mostly older ones, but we had a v good experience.

Reassuring I’m not the only person who doesn’t get round to things though
