Package stolen on Colfe Road

Hi everyone, realise this is a massive long-shot but does anyone recognise this man? He took a package from our doorstep on Colfe Road at 4:55pm today (Sat 6th) and headed south towards Cibber/Farren.

I’m having a baby soon and the box contains clothes and a blanket that my mother-in-law has spent months knitting. If anyone has any information that might help us retrieve the package, I would be so grateful. (I’m not sure how direct messaging works on the site…perhaps Admin can advise in case anyone wants to get in touch privately?).

Thank you very much.

What a b@stard! I hope he is caught. Really sorry for you and I hope the exposure means you get them back.

A rotten thing to have happened. So sorry.

He’s wearing an odd looking hat. Is it a flat cap? Not tgat common, I’d have thought? And a surgical mask as a chin strap? Or is that a beard?

Have the police shared these images?

Looks like a flat cap, yellow tinted glasses and a mask under his chin. So not the brightest spark.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, he’s very distinctive-looking. We did report it to the police yesterday and I’ve also emailed our local community police support officer. Sadly, I suspect we won’t hear/learn anything further but thanks to everyone who’s read the post and is keeping an eye out.

So sorry to hear this especially as it is of sentimental value. Have you checked in the local area in case he opened the parcel and decided baby stuff wasn’t for him. He may have chucked it eg in a hedge.

No one likes a thief, and a thief with a chin mask is among the lowest of the low. Did you receive a reply from the community support officer ?

Oh that is awful, & such a shame especially as you say it is full of sentimental value.
That sort of thing just can’t be replaced.
I agree look locally as he may have thrown the lot in a bush. It’s a pity someone can’t throw him in a bush.

Apologies for the slow reply - am finally catching up on things after having my baby! Yes, Andrea stopped by and was very sympathetic but unfortunately there’s no happy ending to report and the package hasn’t been found or returned. Still so frustrated that of all the packages that could have been taken from the doorstep, he took the one that is irreplaceable. Thanks again, everyone, for the interest.
