Loud Music - Manor Mount

Has anyone else heard loud music this weekend - Friday 6th Aug to Sunday 8th August? I can’t work out where it is coming from but seems to come in pulses - perhaps its being carried by the wind?

I did notice something similar on Saturday and Sunday evenings for a few hours. It was mostly bass and it felt like it must have been quite loud at the source, but I just couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I also noticed it coming in waves, like it would get louder and then stop or be relative quiet for a bit. I’m on Perry Vale.

It was bothering me a bit on Saturday night as I went to bed early (rock and roll!) but nothing that earplugs couldn’t resolve, and it had stopped before I went to bed last night.

It’s the South Facing festival in Crystal Palace. I recognised Sleaford Mods on Saturday night.

We could hear it faintly on Taymount Rise.

We went on Saturday it was good fun. Well organised, lots of space and wonderful to be able to walk home afterwards.

We are going again on Sunday!

I wish I had gone on Saturday but I forgot all about it. We’re hoping to go to the Supergrass gig, if I get around to booking tickets.

Apparently Saturday was 3/4 full. Total capacity is 10,000 (including crew, staff etc…). However 3/4 full was ideal to be honest. Very few queues for drinks or the toilets, there were enough people for a good vibe but space for those of us not quite ready to squash down the front. I am not sure how it stacks up commercially though.

Worth going if you are free. You have to show you have tested negative covid in the last 48 hours or show a vaccine pass to get in though.

I got them super early bird so I think they’re 75 quid for 2.

Yes it was rubbish timing in the end but I can’t turn down work… especially when it’s shooting James and Feeder at Kenwood House and getting paid for it! Would still prefer to see Supergrass though…
