Continuing the discussion from Noisy cars/bikes:
Checking the FAQ, it says this about politics:
So I don’t think it should be a problem if you can discuss within those guidelines - noting I’ve highlighted objective discussion above.
As I see it, problems can arise when discussions get broadened - often unnecessarily - towards general political viewpoints and point-scoring. This can quickly corrode any discussion, move away from the intended local focus of this forum and do little other than produce heat and light and work towards proving Godwin’s Law while generating bad feeling among some members.
Hopefully by keeping things friendly and welcoming, the forum can continue to grow.
