Whilst eating a Van Dough at BHT yesterday noticed work at old WH site. Any clue what they’re up to? Not sure if they’re tidying up ahead of looking for someone new like Topps Tiles up the road.

They wanted to change it into flats I think. I believe there was a petition opposing it being converted.

Anything is an improvement over a betting shop.

After a fifty year association with Forest Hill it appears my time is over after being called a hater by Yorkshire Lad (no one should hate anyone) and being unable to understand a thing Troy_McClure said in his reply.

It has been a pleasure, most of the time.

I ran it through Google.

IBH IDK & IHNI, PROLLY QIKer.
L8R means
International Barley Hub I don’t know and International Hostage Negotiations Institute Proletariat
Qiker , according to Google “launched a state of the art qipao shop” … which begs the question, what’s a qipao? (sorry @ForestHull this could run and run)
L8R was Norway’s first boyband.
IFDTRH (I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole)
NOI (no offence intended)

Well we all use, to various degrees.

For example, when discussing TV channels, most people will use BBC, ITV etc. They do that because it is the common terms for them now, and you assume people know what you are referring to.

Above I knew what @YorkshireLad meant, and many others will have. Some will not, if so it’s not big deal, you ask, it’s clarified, we are all clear, nothing to fall out over.

Anyway, as for the William Hill betting shop I couldn’t see anything, if there a license application attached anywhere?

Regarding the William Hill…

Ground floor plan of the two flats:

The planning decision notice confirmed that planning permission was not required.
