Buses replace late night services on London Overground and Southern this Monday-Thursday

4 Oct '21

From National Rail:

The last train from London Bridge to Honor Oak Park and Forest Hill will be the 2311 East Croydon service.

The 2328, 2340, 2358 and 0035 services from London Bridge will be replacement bus services however the only information on National Rail as to where these will leave from is “Rail replacement bus services are usually found outside the front of the station. However this is sometimes subject to change. Please check engineering posters or consult a member of staff”

From TfL’s website:

TfL’s detail above don’t completely match what their journey planner is displaying or what is being shown on National Rail (I have raised this with TfL) however from past experience the National Rail details should be accurate which means the last southbound London Overground service calling at Honor Oak Park and Forest Hill will be a Crystal Palace service departing from Canada Water (for those connecting from the Jubilee Line) at 2308 and from New Cross Gate at 2315.

Later services from Canada Water which will only run as far as New Cross Gate will depart at 2317, 2323, 2332, 2338, 2347, 0002, 0011 and 0031. However it appears there will only be the same 4 replacement bus services that will have started their journey at London Bridge so I’m not sure how much space there will be! It seems crazy that what would normally be 12 trains are being replaced with only 4 buses but maybe there are still less passengers travelling at this time of night during the week.

For anybody travelling northbound from West Croydon the last London Overground service calling at all stations to Highbury and 2314 arriving Forest Hill at 2332. This will also be the last service from Forest Hill to Highbury and Islington (the usual later 3 services will not run)
