I was on an Overground train that was terminated at Shoreditch High Street around 10.30 last night because, according to the driver, there was a fire at Wapping and when we eventually got back to FH via a cab to London Bridge and train from there all Overground services were showing as cancelled. I tried Googling it this morning but couldn’t find any mention, does anyone know what happened?

There was a sad fire at Shoreditch, but I think that’s too far north to be the one

Thanks Mary but it wouldn’t have been that one, the driver definitely said Wapping. I guess it could have been a small electrical fire or something that was enough to halt the trains but too small to rate a mention elsewhere. Damned inconvenient though.
