Instagram account to celebrate independent businesses

Hello!

I’m considering creating an Instagram account to celebrate all of the independent business in forest hill and surrounding neighborhoods. I’m conscious of the impact of the pandemic on small businesses so want to do what I can to support (beyond shopping in them!) and there are so many wonderful ones in the area.

I’m surprised there isn’t something equivalent already and wanted to check. Does this exist already and do people think it’s a good idea?

Last year for holiday season the Forest Hill Society ran a Twitter/Instagram campaign to promote #ShopSE23 and got some participation from local business, so we’d be happy to work with you on this. In fact we’re looking for someone to help on our Comms team so let me know if you’re interested in that too
