Webcam knowledge recommendations

Hi,
Just wanting to pick the technology brains.
My son would like to record & live stream a few projects he is doing for crafting (close up), lathing, or building (more distant) captures.
Any recommendations of camera/s that would be good?
He recently bought a Logitech C920 Pro HD Webcam. Not that expensive but had good reviews.
But just wondering those with more experienced knowledge might suggest any others for quality, colour, zoom etc.

Some of the newer DSLRs and mirrorless cameras can be used as webcams.

Also make sure he has a decent light when filming, it makes a massive improvement to the quality.

These microphones are good, though not cheap.

A standard mobile using something like the Vimeo app would actually do ok, or alternatively invest in a GoPro which when attached to a head-strap would be perfect for the close-up work.
