Eeek.
Keeping a close eye on the very tall and rather rickety tree in our neighbour’s garden.
Same here.
Thankfully most trees will not be in leaf which would have made it far worse.
Wind definitely picking up now. My neighbours trampoline is on it’s side and making good attempts to cuddle our fence.
I wonder where all the birds are? Flown away or taking refuge in bushes, nest holes etc?
I saw a Jay clinging to a tree.for dear life earlier.
He’s gone now.
I’m not exactly loving that the big crane overlooking my garden !
A house near us has lost part of it’s roof, roof tiles on the ground and the back part of the roof flipped over to the front
Spoke to the owner and at least everyone safe as he said.
This crane? Look at the hook swinging:
Windy enough to uproot… a bench up on Blythe Hill Fields!
Most of the trees look okay, though this one on Blythe Hill road hasn’t faired too well:
Not all the damage is bad though - the ugly fence on Duncombe Hill Green is looking increasingly unsafe and has lost a few panels (the trees however look untouched):
I did wonder if the developers would ‘help the wind along’
I wondered that too. I often take pictures of the green from the same perspective… just in case it might ever be useful, should something unexpected happen.
I saw several trees down on brockley cemetery, so it was good the council closed it today.
