Overview

Lewisham Council knows how important play is for our children’s and young people’s development. We want to ensure we make the best use of our play resources to support all children and young people to enjoy play and thrive.

We have appointed the specialist organisation London Play to help us develop a plan for play for the borough, and we would like to capture as many views from children, young people, parents and carers as possible about:

  • Play facilities in the borough
  • The purpose and value of play (what it means to children and adults)
  • Ideas for future play development

This will help London Play produce an audit of play in the borough and begin to develop recommendations.

There is a separate survey for children and young people, which is being distributed through their schools.

Thanks for sharing this. I wouldn’t have see it otherwise.

It would be great if other local parents could fill it in so we can try and improve the play facilities in Forest Hill. Our local parks (The Horniman Triangle and Honor Oak cemetery) are used by lots of children but sadly the play equipment is old, tired and could do with a revamp. We often go that little bit further and venture to the brilliant playgrounds in Southwark (Dulwich park and Peckham Rye) It would be great if Lewisham could have something similar. Please complete the survey and share if you can.
