Cuts to Southern off-peak services

Due to the ASLEF overtime ban, Southern have publicised cuts which include no Beckenham Junction or Milton Keynes trains, however there are cuts to our services tomorrow which have been sneaked into the journey planners.

During the off-peak, the London Bridge service is cut to 2tph as Caterham trains are cancelled, so no direct service to East Croydon either which will require changing at Norwood Junction and East Croydon for trains to Sussex.

Depressing. And I see the legal challenge against the ASLEF strikes has failed. To be honest I feel that "rail “consumers” are merely “collateral damage” for unions, management, in this dispute which will rumble on, seemingly, ad infinitum. I increasingly get the train from LB to New Cross and 171/172 bus to HOP which is not too bad. And there are more trains on the Crofton Park line in morning peak.

The Overground trains are way too busy in the peaks and is very likely you’ll be standing on the Overground and the tube to London Bridge.

I’m sure you mean New Cross Gate as New Cross trains run fast to Cannon Street until January 2018.

Ugh… so it’ll either be a bus (possibly 2, depending) from FH to Aldwych or the Overground/underground (which I absolutely detest… even at 06.45 it’s packed!).

London Overground are adding extra trains on strike days between Dalston Junction and Crystal Palace.
