What bargains have you ever bagged?

Last summer at the B&Q sale, I bought a Bosch lawnmower reduced from £120 to £35 just because it was ex display. Best bargin yet.

About a month ago a bought a camembert baker from Sainsbury’s reduced from £12 to £3.50… exactly the same % discount as you!

Also at B&Q - last year I bought a Japanese Maple tree. It was looking a bit poorly and uninspiring (just a few buds but otherwise apparently near-dead). But it was winter, and I suspected it would look very different in summertime.

Was reduced to £7.50. I don’t think they realised what kind of tree it was.

It has come out in full, beautiful crimson bloom now and is a stunning tree. Bargain.

I find B&Q good for plant bargains. They basically seem to stock plants, not bother watering them properly, discount them heavily and they then rejuvenate quickly post some water.

Yeah, I used to do that, but the baker retains the heat better (and I got it for a bargain price).
