Do we still have hedgehogs in SE23? When I was growing up across town you would see them daily, but populations have obviously declined due to fences without gaps etc, but I was wondering, has anyone seen any in SE23?
I last saw one on the quiet stretch of Stanstead Road near Shannons about 4 or 5 years ago.
I haven’t seen any at all 
All the gardens are fenced off where I live so I guess their range of movement is really limited. It would be great if we could get some hedgehog highways set up in SE23.
Not seen any in a while but they are shy anyway. Used to have one come and eat the cat food a few years back. Poor things are probably scared out of their wits with more traffic etc.
Had one in the garden a few years ago but it was in a bad way and sadly died.
