SEGAL SELF-BUILD: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
A chance to see one of Walter Segal’s self-build community housing projects in Lewisham, south London. The small estate was designed by Segal and built in the 1980s by the residents as part of a council self-build housing project. There will be an opportunity to learn about the Rural Urban Synthesis Society, a current Segal-inspired community housing project and meet the architects involved. There will also be a workshop on Cradle to Cradle design by one of the residents who has upgraded his Segal home using Cradle to Cradle and Passivhaus principles.
