SEGAL SELF-BUILD: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
A chance to see one of Walter Segal’s self-build community housing projects in Lewisham, south London. The small estate was designed by Segal and built in the 1980s by the residents as part of a council self-build housing project. Tour the properties and hear first-hand about people’s self-build experiences. Learn about Cradle to Cradle design from a resident who has upgraded his Segal home using Cradle to Cradle and Passivhaus principles.
There will also be the opportunity to learn about the Rural Urban Synthesis Society, a pioneering Segal-inspired community housing project working on its first development in Ladywell. Cakes and refreshments available!
