Burst water main in Overhill Road
Horniman school closed due to lack of water.
The trouble this water main gives us is ridiculous, isn’t this the same one that caused multiple water outages before Christmas?
We should get our local councillors or maybe our new MP to speak to Thames Water about this.
There is another fairly serious leak at the bottom of Taymount Rise that has been running all weekend.
This is crazy: looking on the Thames Water Works in your area page it says the following;
Low pressure & no water
Message last updated Monday 19 June 2017 - 09:49am.
We’re sorry to customers in the SE22, SE23 & SE26 area who are experiencing low pressure or no water this morning.
This is due to due to a burst water pipe on Lordship Lane
Our teams are on site working to repair the broken pipe.
We will provide a further update on our progress no later than 12:00hrs.

That’s a massive area and as you say seems to be a chronic issue. What are we paying water charges for??
Word on the street is that Forest Hill now has water again.
Yes indeed!!
Good news. But why does this keep happening? Can’t they prevent it???
Thames Water update says they are still working on it so maybe not supply for everyone yet (I am at work in town so cannot test the evidence with my own eyes)

Update from Thames Water:
Still problems this morning and Thames Water are baffled / asleep. Watch out London because the people of Foresr Hill are coming and this time they’re smelly!
Yep no water still here this morning. I assume it came on sometime in the night as water tank in our block has filed up again - so at least we have one bathroom tap of cold water to wash with.
Thames Water need to sort this out or at least provide bottled water - we now have been without water for 24 hours.
