… it won’t, hopefully be too much of a surprise that we’re having an Open Day, because for the last few years we’ve been opening up the reserve on the last Saturday of the month, 1.00 - 4.00 except in winter. And except for last month, when unexpectedly all of our Friends group had other commitments. Sorry about that, again - if you’d like to join us in promoting the reserve, then let us know.
Anyway, in case you don’t know, this rather special bit of nature, with a large pond, which feeds helpful frogs and toads to local gardens all around, is just off Dacres Road, at the end of the newly adopted Honeyfield Mews.
You’ll also see some impressive new walkways, making the reserve rather more accessible, responding to the increased usage during the week for educational purposes. Our volunteers are also logging moth species flying around in these warm evenings. I’d not realised just how many species of moth there are - this is a Light Emerald
We’re also having a quick AGM at 12.30, to which all are also welcome.
See you then
