Floor sanding recommendations

Any recommendations for a company that can sand / varnish our parquet flooring?

I used Steve and Nicola from Back to Wood a few years ago, I found them on The East Dulwich Forum. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, they were the best priced out of all the quotes I had and they did a fantastic job in my flat!!

Might be a bit late now, but if you need another quote, I used a chap called Ruslan (Bonus Flooring) to sand and varnish my 1960s parquet floor - 07710683054.

It might be a bit late but i thought i would put this here to help others. We had our 1930s parquet floor sanded and varnished by David Threadwell from Floor Sanding and Restoration. He did a wonderful job on our floor and he and his men were quick, tidy and worked well.

We also used Back to Wood and would thoroughly recommend them. They did a fantastic job on our wood floors and completely transformed our flat. As per all the reviews you’ll read of them they were very professional and the flat was left in a spotless state after they had finished their work.

I’ve recently moved into a flat on Pearfield Road and looking to have a couple of rooms with wooden floorboards (engineered wood) refinished.

The job is ~30m squared, across two rooms - hallway and living room.

Does anyone have any local recommendations that I can contact?

Welcome. We have used Zen flooring, based in Catford. Zen quoted, advised on finish and did a really good job.

Did you use Zen in the end? We’re also looking for local floor sanding companies and would be good to get a recent review.

Aside from my own experience in FH, Zen gets very consistent good reviews and recommendations from Corbett homeowners in Catford who have a heavily used Facebook group.

Just to report back that we used Zen - we’re very happy with the results, he was on time, very clean and tidy and the price was exactly as advertised. Would recommend him to others.
