Stories for Homes is a project that raises money and awareness for Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.
The Stories for Homes 2 anthology launches today in eBook. It’s a world-class collection of short stories, flash fiction and poetry, all tackling the theme of ‘home’. It has been produced to a very high standard entirely by volunteers and all the writers (including many published and acclaimed novelists) have donated their work for free. The editorial team includes professional literary editors and the 55 stories included were curated from 256 submissions. Every penny of profit (after Amazon have taken their cut) is paid directly to Shelter.
There is a strong local connection to the project. It originates from members of the East Dulwich Writing Group, that has members from all over south London. There are a number of local authors included in the anthology. I have a story included, and am a member of the production team.
Please consider buying the anthology. £5.99 is a bargain for 55 truly excellent pieces of work. You can buy it here. More information on the project can be found on our website. And we will be on Twitter all day promoting the #SfH2 hashtag, if you’d care to join in.
(For the analogy among you, the paperback will be published in November, and there will be a launch party at the Crow on the Hill in Crystal Palace on 15th December.)
