Our superb police

Myself and neighbours had had an ongoing local problem which blew up yesterday. I cannot go into details but I would just like to say that the police response and ongoing follow ups are nothing short of stunning. I am someone who will get involved if I see crime being committed and did so yesterday. To see the police in harms way and their professional actions has reinforced how hard our police work when so undermanned and underfunded. I know one of the officers involved that I have been dealing with over the last few weeks pops in here now and again and I would like him to pass on my sincere thanks to those involved.

It is also very warming to find out that your local community does care, and they are there when you need them.

Sounds like quite the event there. I have to agree, seeing the police doing their thing really does bring home what they are paid for, and the nature of the jobs they have to tackle.
People are so quick to judge when they don’t understand a situation, or are on the wrong end of the law.
But taking a moment and getting it put in perspective like that is a real eye opener.

Hope the situation is nearer permanent resolution now.

PS hats off @Londondrz for taking the time to share your thoughts on this too.
Always nice to see positivity towards the police.

@anon64893700 This one is a bit f a runner due to the nature of the incident so ongoing. What I was stunned about was one of the PC’s that attended last night is in the middle of fasting and was looking forward to leaving at 10pm last night. I was on the phone to him still at 10:45 last night and I learnt from his colleagues that he left this morning at 6am some eight hours after his shift ended. I knew the police were stretched but I had no idea by how much.

Wow that’s continuity! And commitment. Probably certain things that they can’t just hand over on.
Well done that poor sod
