Serious looking head-on accident about 75 metres from Sunderland Rosd junction.
From extent of damage looks as if there was significant speed involved.
Police in attendance - trust there are no major injuries.

hi all i live on the junction from sunderland road and standstead road no one sticks to the speed there going up or coming down sunderland so many time i see cars see its clear and rush out of the road i think they need speed checker in the road
20mph does not work, the cost of real enforcement would be horrendous, and like speed cameras drivers speed up when out of range.
Not sure how the volunteer speed monitoring results have been used or how effective as not seen any info.
Wynell Road as a cut through regularly sees speeders i estimate doing at least 40+.
