Does anyone else use the Stanstead Road Dental Practice (The one closest to Topps Tiles)?
I ask as our appointment was cancelled last week due to Electrical issues; we only found out when we turned up and saw a sign on the door, and then I haven’t been able to contact them since. I even visited yesterday during usual business hours to find everything was shut again.
Anyone know what’s going on?
Had my appointment last Monday and the electrical issues were limited to reception (still had my check up), but I couldn’t pay by card or book my next appointment. Assume it’s not resolved, but communications have never been good.
There have been some other things going on there, which seem to be resolved, but there is always that surprise element about whether it will be open when you get there. I probably would have moved to another dentist by now were in not for the fact that Dr Marjani is so good and that it’s only 2 mins from my house.
I’ve been meaning to post about this for ages! They seemed to close unexpectedly for at least 4/5 weeks towards the end of last year - I had an appointment and turned up to a handwritten notice on the door saying they were closed. No explanation on their website, no answerphone announcement and I haven’t subsequently been contacted by anyone there. I then saw a different notice about electrical problems recently so assumed they had re-opened.
I had to move. Too unreliable for me. My check up ever only lasted 3-5 minutes and was told my teeth are ‘perfect’. When I went to a new dentist I was given 30 minutes and told off for not flossing and that plaque was building up. Lovely team but something not working very well in terms of reliability and quality of work.
@anon53860779 totally agree and I have just registered elsewhere too. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what I thought may be wrong but was always surprised by the speed of check compared to other dentists I’ve had previously.
We were registered at the Stanstead Road practice for nearly twenty years, staying through three changes of dentist at the practice. I’ve recently changed to the Perry Vale Dental Centre and am very happy with that decision, and wish I’d made it sooner.
@RachaelDunlop I didn’t think of Perry Vale but I see it gets good reviews on here so I probably should’ve done. I’ve gone with the one near the station - I have been once for weekend emergency treatment and was happy with the service. I’ll see how my first check-up goes next week!
