Friends of Garthorne Road Conservation Volunteering 2018

Garthorne Road Nature Reserve an important wildlife site and former fragment of the Great North Wood. Please join the friends to help them manage this green oasis in Forest Hill for people and wildlife.

Workdays are 10am – 1pm on the following dates

Saturday 24th February: Clearing invasive species like Holm Oak, Snowberry and other garden escapees and creating a dead hedge to let native species trive and improve the biodiversity.

Saturday 17th March: We will be continuing to Installing steps and path edging to improve access and stop erosion to the native vegetation.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Please bring work gloves If you have them. Tools will be provided. Workday will be cancelled in case of heavy rain and/or strong winds.
