Time to find those “latest figures” and do some digging.
Time to find those “latest figures” and do some digging.
Data from the Department for Transport showed that there are more accidents on the roads in Lewisham than in Bexley, Greenwich or Bromley.
When in context as above, it sounds not as bad.
I’m not familiar with the roads in Bexley or Bromley, but the roads in suburban Lewisham appear to have fewer road markings and parking limitations than those in Southwark. Parking around junctions is more common here and I think it likely that this leads to more accidents. It would be interesting to have a breakdown of the headline figures that separates out the different types of collisions.
