Unfortunately nowwhere does real Laksa most dont use fresh fish and it is impossible to get Ginger Flowers.
Like most asian dishes they have become westernised. Thats the problem if you travel and enjoy the cuisine its difficult to get the same experience in the UK.
I recall visiting a chinese restaurant in a small village where the manager came over and suggested that the Chef would cook some dishes off menu so as to not disappoint.

You might ask in the Malaysian Deli on Brockely Road.
Had some nice food in there…

You could try Rasa Sayong in China town, there is a Malaysian place in the back ground flr of Strstford Westfield, the Dim Sum in Wing Yip Croydon is fairly authentic and whilst limited of course the Malaysian Deli.

If you want suthentic buns the then Golden gate bakery China town and if you want steam buns (to do at home) then opposite the bakery is s strsnge alley past the grocer on past fishmonger and there is a doorway on left you can buy Char-sui in packs of 6 for £2

Happy eating!
