Forest Hill Spring Planting

Michael

Saturday, 28th April, is the FHSociety’s Spring gardening event. Meeting at 2.00pm at the main entrance to Forest Hill railway station with gardening gloves, secateurs and trowel, if you have them, but we do have a few spares if you do not.

Our aim is to establish new planters alongside the tyre towers in Perry Vale and do some easy weeding of the platform planters and the main bed in the station forecourt so that we can see what has survived the winter.

As ever, it shouldn’t take long if we have a good number of people.

If anyone is free tomorrow afternoon the Forest Hill Society are installing new planters on Perry Vale, opposite All in One between 2:00 and 5:00pm (Saturday April 28).

We have eight recycled steel barrels to fill with soil and plants, so could really do with some help.

They’ll look something like these from Waterloo.

Hopefully see some of you tomorrow!

We could do with a bit of help this afternoon as there’s lots of planting and filling to do.

In AIO this evening looking across Perry Vale and my BH says they are a wonderful enhancement to the better side of the tracks in Forest Hill.

Congratulations and a big thank you for all the hard work.
