A burst water main is causing severe delays in Forest Hill

What a badly-written news piece. Where actually is the burst water main and the lane closure?

The roads mentioned are not in Forest Hill. No mention on TfL’s twitter feed. The photo is of the junction between the South Circular and Verdant Lane, well East of Catford. Date stamp is 9am this morning so probably not even an issue anymore, wherever it is.

I was in the traffic around midday. The works are on the inside lane and on the stepped kerb going towards the station from the railway bridge.

Is it causing tailbacks all the way beyond Hither Green or has New Shopper got its wires crossed?

Either could be right. But the South Circ is currently rammed westbound from the Railway Telegraph to FOH.

Just sailed through from FH to Catford.

Mullered this morning on the South circ. Broken down HGV opposite side near the fire station and works as mentioned near the station so down to one lane on the corner.
Coupled with the total closure of Crystal Palace Park Road and subsequent diversions the roads are a mess…
