Burglary and car theft

Hi all,

Just wanted to post this so that others can be vigilant. Our flat was burgled yesterday late afternoon/evening. They prised open the window (old, wooden sash windows) at the back of the property. No valuables were taken inside the flat but they took the car keys and stole the car that was parked on the street outside.

Don’t want this to happen to anyone else in the area. Make sure you lock everything when leaving particularly in this hot weather when we always tend to open windows! And don’t leave any car keys out on show.

So sorry to hear about your burglary. No news yet of your car? We always close & lock our front windows when we are going to be sitting in the garden, because of what has happened to you. I was also told years ago now never to leave any keys near your front door as a burglar can use a wire coat hanger & fish them out!

We were also robbed today on Perry rise. They stole 2 laptops and a PlayStation. They broke the back door with a garden chair and came into the house. Please be vigilant!
