Anybody else totally intrigued by the very noisy helicopter in the sky? It’s probably much further away than it sounds/looks, but it has held the same position for at least 10 minutes with its search beam trained on something on the ground. I guess maybe it’s assisting a Thames rescue? Would welcome any intel (or wild theories…)
Properly gathering information these helicopters have all the tech needed for covert ops.

Follow on from the original post, the helicopter was up again in the early hours of this morning (30 July). This resulted in numerous police cars arriving in the end of Rockbourne Road by the cut through to Stanstead Road and armed police running through our neighbour’s garden. Not sure if they caught the suspect(s) as didn’t want to get too close to the window with firearms being drawn. I noticed this morning that the gate to the sheltered housing at Talbot Court was splintered as if it had been kicked in - I’m assuming this wad related. Can’t see anything in the news what this might have been related to, but enough to warrant firearms officers so seems quite serious.
