It’s not quite “brockley” quality but an improvement on that oh so ugly wall !

This is my favourite whole wall mural located Dalston Lane, Hackney.

I always thought something like that would be a great project for a secondary school art class or perhaps for a summer kid’s project through the likes of @V22_Louise_House .

Not really an improvement to my mind - a slightly enhanced bit of tagging would be my term. It’s a real shame is covered the discrete Banksy style telephone though.

Curious to see newly created trough with planted shrubs (unless I’m doing a disservice to the artist) bookended by new (telecoms?) boxes.

That’s true that telephone was the start of something special. Sad that the art of the opposite wall is now gone too

The problem is, is that the walls are painted to look a bit edgy, like the telephone, as if it hasn’t been commissioned, but painted in the dead of night and all a bit messy. That’s why taggers think it is open season. Personally, I think it’s all a bit ‘emperors ne clothes’ Even Banksy is just a criminal , who is not even that talented. He just wanders out with a stencil, and because somebody’s neighbour owned something he did, the whole of Notting Hill had to have one and it pushed the price up to silly numbers. a three year old child can produce a painting from a stencil. And stencils can be cut from computer designs…

Here is the telephone graffiti for anyone not familiar with it (like me!).

I think that white door now has ‘Game of Thrones’ graffitied on it.
