A quick note from the moderators on flagging etiquette

Hi everyone,

just a quick note to say that we’ve had some recent flagging targeted at specific individuals on the forum. It gets pretty obvious who doesn’t agree with whom (which is why we try to stay away from politics wherever possible, albeit nobody’s perfect).

The upshot of this is that we start to get immune to constant flagging of certain people by others. That means it’s likely we might actually miss a relevant flag. It’s like the ‘the boy who cried wolf’.

So we’d kindly ask you to count to 10 before thinking about flagging a post. That being said of course flagging off-topic or offensive posts is important to keep things friendly and running smoothly - we always appreciate and attend to relevant flagging.

Thanks and pop over to this thread for more info.

Stay safe!
