On Saturday I was out in the weather for most of the day at Walthamstow Marshes on a birding day and taking photos without gloves proved to be difficult. For the first time in a while its been crucial in Southern England to wear the sort of clothing necessary for a winter in the Hebrides, Orkneys and Shetlands.
