Hi all, I’ve had a report of an error when a member tried to edit his post. Has anyone else had similar problems today?
Anyone finding themselves logged out of SE23.life today?

No, but I’ve had other issues today. Was logged out twice. On one occasion I had no ‘like’ button until I refreshed the page. Some posts are showing as not read when they are. I’d assumed it was just something glitchy on my end.

Yikes, sorry to hear this. I will check the logs and see if I can spot any possible server-side issues

This was just one mobile btw Chris. Android.

@RachaelDunlop and @Londondrz - I have raised the issues you’ve both seen today with the forum software developers:
I believe there’s a pattern in both these issues and I think I know what the root cause may be. Will await the response of the developers and let you both know.

I’ve had this problem myself this morning (finding myself logged out of SE23.life). I’ve chased the developers for an update on the fix.

I was last night but you had been tinkering

New annoyance today - I just searched for the thread on Pictures of SE23. Found it, clicked on it, and it opened at the top, not at last read.

Is this maybe down to the search result you clicked on being the first item?

You are correct. I assumed clicking on the thread title in the search results would take me to the thread, not the specific post. I was searching via the word ‘picture’ as I remembered that being in the thread title. It so happened the word is also in the first post of the thread (probably not an uncommon occurrence).

Okay - we have a tentative fix for the problems with people being logged out. I’m going to deploy it right now - please let me know if you see any further glitches.
Cheers all!
Update: Fix is released!
Updated update: I just saw the logout gremlin again and have reported back to the developers.

I found myself logged out of the forum this evening. I reported it and the developers are aware of a logout problem affecting iPhone users:

Clicked on as normal which normally takes me right to usual page, but had to put in my user details which I don’t normally have too #SS possibly at work again trying to sabotage?
ETA From my iPad & all good now

I think you’ve experienced nothing more sinister than a bug in the software, P.
Thanks for reporting. Hopefully fixed soon and we won’t find ourselves logged out again in future.

Seems all good now Chris

Logged out, and logged back in again. All’s good so hopefully back to normal now xx

Keep on getting logged out since a couple of days, anyone else having that problem!?

Hi Insight - could you let me know which browser and device you’re using and I’ll follow up with the developers. Thanks

Using safari on I phone, thank you! Always used the same in the past just last few days it is not keeping me logged in

Thanks @anon10646030. I have reported it and will keep you appraised.
If anyone else is seeing the same problem, please reply here (or even better - reply to my report)

Are you using the IPhone app, @anon10646030, or just Safari?

Just safari and as I said never had problems before
